LEGACY
WHY WE EXIST — OUR AIM

A PURPOSE GREATER THAN OURSELVES

"Leaving Legacy Behind"

To make the world a better place for those who will come after us — that they find it better than we found it. Every prayer, every meal, every lesson, every act of compassion is a brick we lay for a foundation that outlasts us. We do not build for today alone; we build for generations yet unborn.

🌱

Plant Seeds of Change

Every child educated, every widow supported, every elder cared for — these are seeds of transformation that blossom long after we are gone.

🔥

Carry the Torch Forward

We hold the light of faith, compassion, and service high so that the next generation can see the path and carry it even further than we reached.

🌍

Leave the World Better

Our measure of success is simple: did those who come after us find the world a little kinder, a little more just, a little more full of love?

A Registered CBO
Built on Faith & Service

The name FATIMA comes from Portugal where the Virgin Mary appeared to three children in 1917, emphasising the power of prayer. This inspired our founder to create a centre dedicated to prayer and community transformation.

Located in Kidodo Cell, Central Division, Kasese Municipality, Uganda, we serve as a "Home for All" — regardless of appearance, culture, tribe, gender, age, religion or education level. FAPCAN is a registered Community Based Organisation (CBO).

Our Vision

Spiritual empowerment for orphans, PWDs, elders and widows.

Our Mission

Building a strong praying working team to pool resources.

Core Values

Inclusivity, compassion, faith, transparency, and service.

Our Impact in Action

At FAPCAN, compassion is not just a word — it is a daily practice. Standing With Those Living With Epilepsy

FAPCAN Community stands with children, youth, and elders living with epilepsy — people who are too often forgotten, rejected, and abandoned by society. Many have been denied education, medical treatment, family care, and even the basic dignity every human being deserves. Some are called curses within their families and communities, isolated because of fear, misunderstanding, and harmful beliefs. Many grow up without love, support, or hope, while others are unfairly treated as if they are less than human.

At FAPCAN, we believe every life has value and purpose. We provide love, care, treatment support, food, shelter, education opportunities, guidance, and emotional support to people living with epilepsy. We create a safe community where they are respected, protected, and given the freedom to live with dignity and confidence. Through compassion and inclusion, FAPCAN is restoring hope to those who were once rejected and helping them discover that they are important, loved, and capable of building a better future.

Support for People Living with HIV

FAPCAN walks alongside people living with HIV — offering them a place of safety, acceptance, and unconditional love at a time when many face stigma, rejection, and isolation from their own families and communities. We provide emotional support, nutritional care, prayer, and guidance to help them live with dignity, hope, and strength.

We believe no one should face illness alone. At FAPCAN, people living with HIV are not defined by their condition — they are seen as beloved members of our community, worthy of every care, every kindness, and every opportunity to thrive.

 Sipirina's Family

Sipirina's Family Story

Sipirina is a mother of eight children who once lived in extreme poverty and hopelessness. Life at home became very difficult after being abandoned by her husband, leaving her alone to care for the children without support. Many days, the family slept hungry because there was no food to eat, and when sickness came, Sipirina could not afford medication or proper treatment for her children. Because of poverty, the children were unable to attend school regularly, and their future slowly became uncertain. The difficult conditions affected them deeply, and some of the girls were pushed into early marriage while still very young, simply to survive and escape the suffering at home. Today, Sipirina and her children have found hope and a new beginning through the FAPCAN Community. The family now receives love, care, shelter, food, medical support, and guidance. The children are being given opportunities for education, protection, and a chance to dream again. Through FAPCAN, Sipirina's family has regained dignity, hope, and the strength to believe in a better future.
