Not just making films — restoring hope, amplifying voices, and building a generation of storytellers who speak truth to the world.
At FAPCAN, we use media and performing arts as powerful tools for healing, expression, and social change. Through our Creative Arts & Media Initiative, we engage young people and community members in acting, storytelling, film production, music, and performance — giving them a voice to tell their own stories.
Many individuals we work with come from difficult backgrounds: street life, broken families, trauma. Creative arts provide a safe space where they can express emotions, rebuild confidence, and rediscover purpose. Instead of being defined by their past, they become storytellers, actors, musicians, and creators.

We produce authentic films, documentaries and stage plays drawn from community experiences — challenging stigma and raising awareness on social issues that matter.
Every production reflects real struggles while offering messages of healing, justice, unity, and transformation that inspire audiences locally and globally.
Showcasing Uganda's traditions, languages, and community narratives — preserving heritage for future generations through powerful media.
Participants from streets or broken homes found a safe space, marketable skills, and a reason to create every day.
Graduates leave with real, marketable creative industry skills.
Every set and rehearsal teaches life skills beyond the camera.
Our productions spark conversations far beyond Kidodo — reaching across Uganda and internationally.
Our journey in media production has created remarkable opportunities for community members who might otherwise never have left Kidodo.
Through FAPCAN Creative Arts, participants step beyond limitations and explore the world while carrying their stories with them.

"Media saved my life. I was living on the street when FAPCAN invited me to join. Now I act, direct, and write scripts. I have a purpose and I use it to help others find theirs."
"I was afraid of speaking in public. After six months in the programme, I performed in front of hundreds. Creative arts gave me a voice I never knew I had."
"Our documentary travelled to other districts. People who have never been to Kidodo saw our story and were moved. That is power — and we created it ourselves."
Every production costs resources — equipment, travel, editing. Your support keeps our cameras rolling and our storytellers creating.
