Stories of Hope
& Transformation

These are not just stories — they are living testimonies. Lives once broken by abandonment, illness, poverty, and violence, each restored by the love of FAPCAN Community and the power of faith.

Behind Every Life,
a Story of Redemption

At FAPCAN, we believe that every human life — no matter how broken, abandoned, or forgotten — carries infinite worth and the capacity for transformation. Since 2012, our community in Kidodo, Kasese has opened its doors to people that society has turned away: the mentally ill left on streets, mothers infected and rejected, orphans swallowed by crime, and children left without a single person to call family.

These testimonies represent hundreds of lives touched by FAPCAN's ministry of love. They are stories of pain transformed into purpose, rejection turned into belonging, and hopelessness reborn as joy. We share them not to display suffering, but to testify — that love, given freely and consistently, changes everything.

Harriet's Story

Muhindo Harriet

Mother of Five · Living Positively · 6 Years at FAPCAN

Muhindo Harriet is a mother of five children and a living testimony of strength, healing, and hope through the support of the FAPCAN Community.

Harriet's life became filled with pain after her husband, who struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction, abandoned the family and left her infected with HIV/AIDS. After discovering her status, Harriet faced rejection not only from her husband but also from family members and people around her.

As her health worsened, she lost weight, became weak, and slowly lost hope in life. The suffering became so heavy that she even considered suicide as the only way to escape her pain.

Everything changed when Alfred Bwambale reached out to support her with love and compassion. He welcomed Harriet into the FAPCAN Community and ensured she received the care she desperately needed — shelter, food, clothes, counseling, emotional support, and guidance. Alfred also connected her to DICs and hospitals for proper HIV treatment, medication, and professional counseling.

Through continuous care, encouragement, and access to treatment, Harriet regained her health, confidence, and hope for life again.

💪

Today: After six years at FAPCAN, Harriet is a healthy, strong woman living positively while caring for her five children.
